What Are the Requirements for the Program?
To be considered for the MTGO Creator Program, you must meet at least three of the content creation criteria listed below. Not a streamer? That’s fine—writers, podcasters, and short-form content creators are encouraged to apply, too.
General Guidelines:
- You have created content at least 15 times in the past 90 days.
“Content” refers to anything you produce and share to entertain, educate, or engage your audience. - You are in good standing within the Magic: The Gathering and MTGO communities.
- Any violations of Daybreak Game Company policies or Magic Online rules will disqualify your application.
- If active violations are found after you apply, your application will be rejected.
Eligible Content Types (must meet at least three):
Streaming
- Streamed at least 15 times in the last 90 days
- VODs must be viewable
- Must average 20+ concurrent viewers
Social Short-Form Video
- Posted at least 15 videos in the last 90 days
- Platforms include TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, etc.
Writing

Long-Form Video Content
- Produced at least 6–9 videos (each 15+ minutes) in the last 90 days
Podcasting
- Produced at least 6 podcast episodes in the last 90 days
Social Media Reach
- At least 5,000 combined followers across all platforms
- Posted at least 15 social posts in the last 90 days
- Platforms include X, BlueSky, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and others (including international)

General Information
What is the MTGO Creator Program?
The MTGO Creator Program supports and promotes content creators by offering perks such as All-Access accounts, exclusive avatars, early access to new features, and invites to special events.
Who can apply?
- Creators aged 18+ who are passionate about Magic: The Gathering Online
- New or experienced creators looking to break into MTGO or expand their Magic content
- Creators with audiences that might enjoy Magic content
- Anyone eager to play MTGO and share that experience with their community
- What if I have questions that aren't answered here?
- Join our official Discord server—most questions are answered there.
- Should I panic if I haven’t heard back right away?
- No need to panic. Our team takes time to carefully evaluate each application. It may take up to a month or more to receive a response. If you received a confirmation email, you’re in the review queue.
- Why did someone else get a response before me?
- Our small team (just two people!) personally reviews each application to ensure alignment with our goals. This can lead to varied response times.
Content Creator Program Requirements
What are the requirements to join the program?
Applicants must meet at least three of the following content criteria:

- If you write articles or cosplay, you’re still eligible—as long as you meet three listed categories.

Application Process
- How do I apply?
- Visit the application page and fill out the form with your details and content links.
- What happens after I apply?
- Our team will review your application and you will be notified via automated email from Sideqik once a decision is made.
- I didn’t get a confirmation email. What should I do?
- Try relinking your Sideqik account and resubmit the application.
- How long will applications be open?
Applications will remain open for an extended period, depending on demand. - What if I run into technical issues while applying?
- Reach out through the official MTGO Discord server.
- Can I update my application after submitting?
- No. Please double-check all information before submitting.
- What info do I need to include?
- Basic personal info, your experience with MTGO, and links to your content and social media. A Linktree (or similar) is strongly encouraged.
- Can I reapply if I was previously rejected?
- Yes, you can reapply if you now meet the requirements.
- Sideqik isn’t linking my accounts / I’m not receiving emails—what should I do?
- Reach out to Sideqik support directly via the chat box in the lower-right corner of their site.
- Can I apply as a group or team channel?
- No. This program is designed for individual creators. Group applications are not accepted. If a group applies and links multiple accounts, the applicant will be treated as the sole account holder—this limits program eligibility and access. We strongly encourage each creator to apply individually.

- Most perks are standard, but some (like Starter Kits) are reserved for new creators. Beta and early access opportunities may vary.
- Can I monetize content I create using MTGO gameplay?
- Yes. You are allowed to monetize MTGO content on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and more, as long as you follow Daybreak Game Company’s content and community guidelines.
- Can I use MTGO footage in sponsored content or brand partnerships?
- Yes. Sponsored content is allowed, but if the sponsor may conflict with Magic Online or Daybreak Games, we recommend disclosing it clearly. If you’re unsure, contact the MTGO team for clarification.
Content Creation
- How often do I need to create content?
- We recommend producing at least 5 pieces of content per month.
- What type of content should I create?
- Streams, videos, social posts, and written content about MTGO are all acceptable.
- Are there content guidelines?
- Yes, and they will be provided upon acceptance.
- Are there any topics or content types that are prohibited?
- Yes. Content that includes hate speech, harassment, or violations of Daybreak’s policies is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the program.
- Can I create educational or parody content?
- Absolutely. Educational guides, commentary, and Magic-themed parody content are welcome—just ensure it aligns with community guidelines and is respectful of the game and its audience.

- What if I’m rejected? Can I apply again?
- Yes, you can reapply in the future, and as long as you are in good standing with Daybreak Games
- Can I get feedback on my rejected application?
- Unfortunately, we are unable to offer personalized feedback due to the volume of applications.
- Why was I rejected?
- Applicants are evaluated based on:
- Content activity and frequency
- Platforms used
- Content type and audience fit
- Brand alignment
- Engagement and reach
- Not in good standing with MTG and MTGO communities
- Violated TOS or Daybreak Games Policies, resulting in a ban or suspension of account

- Will applications open again?
- Yes. We plan to keep applications open for a reasonable amount of time so everyone has a chance to apply.
- Can I edit my information or social links after being accepted?
- Yes. Once you're accepted into the program, you’ll receive instructions on how to update your information or linked accounts.
- Is this a paid program?
- No. The program does not offer direct monetary compensation. Instead, creators receive valuable perks such as All-Access accounts, Play Points, and giveaway codes.
- How long does my membership last once I’m accepted?
- As long as you remain active and in good standing, you’ll retain your status. Participation is reviewed periodically.
Communication and Account Management
- How will I be notified if accepted?
- You’ll receive an email with further instructions.
- How do I manage my All-Access MTGO account?
- Instructions will be included in your acceptance email.
- Who do I contact for account issues?
- Please use the official Discord server to report any problems.
- Is there a place where creators can connect with each other?
- Yes. Accepted creators will be invited to a private section of the official MTGO Discord, where you can collaborate, ask questions, and share resources.
- Will MTGO promote my content?
- Select creator content may be highlighted on MTGO’s official social channels during campaigns, set releases, or special events. While not guaranteed, active and engaging creators are more likely to be featured.
Program Participation
- Can I join other MTGO events while in the Creator Program?
- Yes, you’re encouraged to take part in other events as well.
- How can I give feedback about the program?
