Applications are now open apply here. 

You will be greeted with this page. 

From here, fill out the application. Once completed, we will review it and respond once we have made a decision. Please note that while we would love to have everyone be part of the program, space is limited, and we are only onboarding a few creators at a time. Note if you do not get a confirmation email you applied please try relinking your account trying again. Please make sure to link all social media accounts that apply or provide a linktr social media consolidation for us.

General Information

• What is the MTGO Creator Program?

  • The MTGO Creator Program helps and promotes creators by giving them perks like All-Access accounts, unique avatars, Early Access to new features, and exclusive event invites.

• Who can apply?

  • Creators aged 18+ who love Magic: The Gathering Online, whether you're new or experienced.
  • Anyone who wants to break into MTGO or expand into the Magic world.
  • Anyone who thinks they have a good crossover audience.
  • Anyone who wants to play Magic and create content.

• What if I have questions that are not answered here?

  • Please visit our Discord as this is where most questions will be answered.

• Should I panic if I have not heard back right away?

  • No, don't panic. The team takes time to properly evaluate all applications. It can take up to a month or more. If you get the confirmation email, it means you are in the queue.

• Why did someone else I know get a response but I have not?

  • Our small team (2 people) evaluates each application carefully to ensure it fits our goals and vision. This means some responses will take longer than others.

Application Process

• How do I apply?

  • Visit the application page and fill out the form with your details and creation experience.

• What happens after I apply?

  • Our team reviews your application and will notify you of the decision.

• I didn't get a confirmation email. What should I do?

  • Apply again and make sure your Sideqik account is connected.

• How long will applications be open?

  • Applications will be open longer this time, depending on the number of applications.

• What if I have technical issues with the application form?

  • Contact us via our official Discord server.

• Can I update my application after submitting it?

  • No, make sure all information is correct before submitting.

• What information is needed in the application?

  • Personal details, experience with MTGO, and links to your content.

• Can I reapply if I was rejected or did not get in last time? 

  • Yes, you can reapply if you meet the requirements. 

• Are there application requirements? 

  • Yes, please visit the application website for more details.

• What if Sideqik won't let me link my accounts and/or I am not getting a confirmation email?

  • Please contact Sideqik support as they will be the best to help you with that problem. There is a chat box at the bottom right of your screen that will allow you to send them a message.'

• I run and/or am a group or have a group channel. Can I apply as the group? 

  • We do not accept groups as this program is not designed for groups of people. Each creator must apply and have their own content if they wish to be considered. If a group channel applies and links all accounts then that person will be considered the owner of all accounts. As this is a program designed for single creators this will limit the ability of said group which is why we request everyone to apply themselves. 

Program Benefits

• What are the benefits?

  • Benefits include an All-Access MTGO account, exclusive avatars, event invitations, a Starter Creator Kit, play point grants, giveaway codes, and potential access to Beta programs and Early Access events.

• Will everyone get the same perks?

  • Most perks are available to all members. Additional resources like the Starter Creator Kit are for new creators. Access to Beta programs and Early Access events is to be determined.

Content Creation

• How often do I need to create content?

  • Creators should produce at least 5 pieces of content per month.

• What type of content is expected?

  • Content can include streams, videos, articles, and social media posts about MTGO.

• Are there content guidelines?

  • Yes, creators must follow MTGO's content guidelines provided upon acceptance.

Application Outcome

• What if I'm rejected? Can I apply again?

  • Yes, you can reapply in the future if rejected.

• I'm very active. Why wasn't I accepted?

  • Reach out to our Senior Community Manager, Torbin, on Discord for individual evaluation.

• Can I get feedback on my rejected application?

  • We cannot provide individual feedback due to the volume of applications.

• Why did I get rejected the first time?

  • Each applicant is evaluated based on criteria such as:
    • Activity in content creation
    • Frequency of content creation
    • Platforms where content is created
    • Type of content created
    • Fit with our brand goals
    • Audience reach and engagement

• Why did I get rejected for round 2?

  • See the above criteria. If you did not meet at least 3 of the required metrics, this may be why.

• Will you open applications again?

  • Yes, we plan to keep applications open for a good length of time to ensure everyone has an opportunity to apply.

• What is the MTGO Creator Showdown?

  • The Creator Showdown is a 64-person tournament for program members with a $5,000 prize pool.
