MOCS STEP 2 – SHOWCASE QUALIFIERS
Players looking to prove their mettle against the best players in Magic Online will want to use their QPs to enter Magic Online Champions Showcase (MOCS) events. MOCS is a set of linked tournaments designed to highlight the game's best players each season, culminating in the Champions Showcase with its large cash prize pool and two invitations to the World Championship!
THE MOCS PATH
STEP 1 – Showcase Challenges & Last Chance Events
(This Page) STEP 2 – Showcase Qualifiers
FINAL STEPS – Showcase Opens & MOCS Leaderboard
DESTINATION – The Magic Online Champions Showcase
NOTES:
- Each event in Magic Online has a maximum number of players (as indicated below) and events at the end of each season are likely to have more players. Once an event fills, no further entries will be allowed, so plan your QP usage accordingly.
- Players must be at least age 13 to play Magic Online. Players under age 18 on the date of the qualifying event are permitted to win digital prizes but are ineligible to be awarded invitations to tabletop Premier Play events or the Magic Online Champions .
- Players already invited to the next Regional Championship or Pro Tour remain eligible to compete in Qualifiers, Super Qualifiers, and Champions Showcase events except as noted below.
- Should an already invited or ineligible player win a redundant Pro Tour invitation, that invite will pass down to the next highest placed eligible player.
SHOWCASE QUALIFIERS
Featuring only the Top 8 competitors from Showcase Challenges plus players who emerged from a Last Chance event unscathed, Showcase Qualifiers are the final step to reaching the Champions Showcase. Magic Online will offer a qualifier for formats that have a Showcase Challenge.
Modern, Legacy, and Pioneer are always Showcase Formats. The fourth format depends on the Season: Season 1 is Vintage, Season 2 is Pauper, Season 3 is Standard.
These are spread over the first two weekends following the end of the Season.
Each Showcase Qualifier is a scheduled Swiss-style event with a Top 8 playoff. The winner of each Showcase Qualifier earns a spot in the Champions Showcase with its large cash prize pool and two invitations to the World Championship!
NOTE: Unused Format Championship Tokens are cleared from accounts once a Season's set of Showcase Qualifiers are complete.
